Which shows that the Russian maintains the consistency shown in much of his career. However, to reach these two finals something essential has been left along the way: the serve. And the Russian has suffered a total of 23 breaks at the Australian Open and 16, for now, in Indian Wells; which adds up to a total of 39 breaks of his serve in two of the most important tournaments of the season. A fact that has not prevented the current world number 4 from beating most of his rivals, but who knows if with a more consolidated serve he would have lifted his second major in Australia and who knows if he will be penalized in the Indian Wells final against Carlos Alcaraz.
