Daniil Medvedev sealed his pass to the semifinals of the Miami Open early Thursday morning. The Russian, current champion, won 6-2, 7-6 (7) over the Chilean Nicolás Jarry in a match that he controlled without too many problems and that had a curious moment before it began.
The two players were completing their warm-up when one of Jarry’s serves hit one of the ball kids. The girl slipped when she saw the ball hitting her body, with the bad luck that when she fell she ended up receiving the impact.
