Cundinamarca Leads the Way with Approval of Ambitious Development Plan

The department of Cundinamarca becomes the pioneer in the implementation of a Development Plan. Governor Jorge Rey announced the approval of this ambitious project by the Departmental Assembly, thus marking the beginning of a new era of progress for the region.

Clear path to the Development Plan for the next 4 years

With an unprecedented investment of $21 billion allocated for the next four-year period, the 2024-2028 Development Plan, titled “Governing: more than a plan”, comes into force as of today throughout the Cundinamarca territory.

This milestone represents a tangible commitment to achieve specific goals and improve the living conditions of its inhabitants.

In a joint effort between the executive and legislative, Governor Jorge Rey achieved the approval of the 395 goals of the Plan in a record time of just 19 days.

Approved Departmental Development Plan

These goals are aligned with three key strategic lines: Green Wellbeing, Shared Competitiveness and Con-Unity, all designed to ensure comprehensive and sustainable development in the region.

The Development Plan specifically addresses current needs, including the protection of natural resources, the reduction of inequalities through multidimensional approaches and the promotion of modernization of the countryside.

The “Roads to stay” initiative stands out, an investment of one billion pesos aimed at improving the department’s rural roads, thus promoting connectivity and rural development.

Governor Rey emphasized that the approval of this plan marks the beginning of hard work to meet the established goals, thus guaranteeing comprehensive development for all the inhabitants of Cundinamarca.

The approval process of the Plan reflects the continuous commitment of the Cundinamarca Assembly and government entities, who dedicated exhaustive days of analysis and discussion to ensure the viability and relevance of each proposal presented.

“This is just the beginning. We continue to advance to make Cundinamarca the best territory in the country,” concluded Governor Rey Ángel, highlighting the continued commitment to the progress and well-being of the region.

Social Management in Cundinamarca

The Social Manager, Alexandra Pulido, was a fundamental part of the event “Dialogue of regional strategies for social management”, held in the emblematic Jaime Duque Park.

This day, characterized by its productivity, was attended by various social managers from the Province of Sabana Centro.

The meeting, organized by the Secretariat of Family and Social Integration and led by Lizeth Andrea Reina, social manager of the municipality of Tocancipáwas established as a conducive space for the exchange of enriching experiences.

During the meeting, ideas were built and links were strengthened among the participants, with the primary objective of materializing specific projects for the benefit of children, adolescents, women and older adults in Cundinamarca.

The event concluded with the certainty that the ideas generated and the ties forged will serve as solid foundations for the implementation of concrete actions that positively impact the quality of life of the inhabitants of Cundinamarca.
