Crosser Dusek finished fifth in the last competition of the season

There was no podium finish for Austria’s snowboard crossers at the end of the World Cup season. Jakob Dusek won the small final in Mont-Sainte-Anne on Sunday and took fifth place. Julian Lüftner came ninth after his quarterfinal exit. Alessandro Hämmerle, who achieved a double triumph in Montafon and finished sixth in the first race on Canadian soil on Saturday, did not finish higher than 17th place this time.

The Canadian Eliot Grondin triumphed like on Saturday and thus underlined his supremacy this season. With 952 points, he came out on top in the overall ranking, well ahead of the 30-year-old Vorarlberger Hämmerle (604). Dusek came sixth (331), Lüftner ninth (298).

In the women’s race, France’s Chloe Trespeuch finished fourth in the last race to win the overall World Cup with 792 points. The British day winner Charlotte Bankes (757) came in behind. Pia Zerkhold came 13th (260) as well as in the final race.
