Costa Teguise Judo Club Shines at Insular Judo League School Games

Plenary session of the children’s judokas and cadets of the Costa Teguise Judo Club on the second day of the 2024 Insular Judo League School Games held this Friday in the Sports City Pavilion of Lanzarote organized by the Sports area of ​​the Island Council of Lanzarote together with the Insular Judo Delegation and the collaboration of the different clubs of the island.

After a more than worthy performance by the children of the Teguiseño club in Santiago de Compostela in the “XVI Trofeo Cidade de Santiago”, scoring for the final of the Spanish Judo Championship, all of the children’s and cadet judokas presented for the island event , sixteen in the different categories and in both sexes, has managed to qualify, after obtaining a place as island champions in their different weights, for the grand final of the Canary Islands Championship that will take place in Tenerife on April 6.

The president of the club, Antonio Ramírez, wants to “congratulate the remarkable organization of the event held this Friday at the Ciudad Deportiva, which culminated in a beautiful exhibition by the little ones, Alevines, Benjamines and Prebenjamines, who delighted their parents, mothers and friends. Thanks also to everyone who attended these Island Games, a notable attendance in the stands that confirms that we have a guaranteed Judo quarry in Lanzarote. We are now in Canary Islands Championship mode.”

The Sports Councilor of the Cabildo, Juan Francisco Monzón, as well as the Sports Councilor of the Teguise City Council, Alejandro Ramírez, were present at the ceremony to present the trophies and various awards.
