Concarneau Olympic Badminton Club Ends Season Strong Despite Setbacks

The flagship team of the Concarneau Olympic Badminton Club (Bocc) had a great and encouraging season, despite injuries to several major players. It finished, in fact, in third place (out of eight teams) in the D1 Play-offs. Sunday March 24, the last day of the team championship, the Concarnois were soundly beaten, in Brest, by Le Relecq-Kerhuon (1 to 7), which definitely kept them away from a rise in R3. They, on the other hand, dominated Briec with a score of 5 to 3. “The objective for next year will be to achieve the promotion, especially since the R3 championship must be reformed. We will have to take advantage of it,” says the president of Bocc, Philippe le Cam, proud of his troops. The badistas’ season is not yet over: time now, and until the end of June, for private and federal individual tournaments.
