Colombian Delegation Competing in Judo at Bolivarian Youth Games Sucre 2024

Our country attends judo with a delegation of five judokas, three women and two men, who will perform from April 12 to 13 at the Poli Gymnasium Combat Coliseum within the framework of the I Bolivarian Youth Games Sucre 2024.

The National Olympic Committees may participate with a delegation of eight athletes, four per gender, who will compete in a single weight division.

The body weight categories that will be presented, in the male branch, in Sucre 2024 are: 55, 66, 81, 100 kg, while in the female branch they are: 44, 52, 63, 78 kg, each category will have a single day of competition.

During Sucre 2024 there will be two weigh-ins for the judokas: The first is the official one that will be carried out one day before the competition, however, the second will be carried out randomly on four athletes per category one hour before the competition. those who do not pass the official or random weigh-in will be automatically disqualified.

During April 12 and 13, a total of 32 medals will be awarded, 8 gold, 8 silver and 16 bronze, specifying that there will be two third places.

Our country attends this sporting discipline with five judokas, three women and two men, along with coaches Jeison Fabián Burbano Álvarez and Juan David Novoa Peña, who will accompany the athletes throughout the competition.
