Laurent Legname (JDA Dijon coach): “With our absences, we had to play a very serious match to win and I congratulate the players who, like yesterday (Saturday), responded, this time to the athletic challenge worthy of an Elite team. After a bad start, we managed to get back up and more or less control the gap. It wasn’t necessarily very good at times, but I’m very happy that we’re going to the final. »

“I thank the club who called on me when they changed coaches, you know my story and the strong relationship we have built with the JDA, the city, the partners, the public… We do this job to live moments like that and play finals. But beyond me, I think of the whole club, of the president (Thierry Degorce), of his sister (Nathalie Voisin, general director), I am very happy for them, for all the employees of the club, all those who follow us every day. This will allow them to experience a beautiful weekend in Bercy. »

“I want as many people from Dijon as possible to go there”

“The last time (in 2021 against Asvel), it was behind closed doors during Covid. Already, I hope that it will be full, that there will not be a pandemic by then… I want as many people from Dijon as possible to go there. We’ll see who we’re going to play against, anyway I just hope we play it without any injuries, to have a chance of winning. This is my dearest wish. »

Guillaume Vizade (JA Vichy coach): “We wanted to be in the situation of playing a real basketball match, we didn’t want to back down in the duels against a very structured team. The 45 rebounds to 30 is exceptional for the team, it gave us hope until the end. The players were magnificent, against a team which certainly has one of the best Elite rackets behind those who play the Euroleague and the Eurocup. Having forced them to lose 21 balls is also a huge source of pride, it represents who we are. We have to highlight the highlights, we won two quarters, the last of which is no small thing. »

Ilias Kamardine (back of JA Vichy): “We fought until the end, we are disappointed but we have no regrets because we gave everything. For me, it was a motivating match, playing against a team that I know very well. Afterwards, it didn’t necessarily put more pressure on me than that, even if it was still there a little because when you play against your training club, you want to show that you always know how to play correctly. Afterwards, I would have preferred to win the match rather than to be good. [Sa sortie pour cinq fautes] Personally, it’s a regret for me, knowing that I like to play at the end of matches, especially when it’s close. But I am proud of my teammates, who put up a great battle. We wanted to show that we were up to the task. »
