Cleveland Guardians Pitcher Daniel Espino Undergoes Season-Ending Surgery

The Cleveland Guardians suffered a tough loss this Thursday after confirming that their organization’s pitcher and prospect, Daniel Espino, underwent surgery.

The Panamanian underwent surgery on his right shoulder to repair a capsule and the rotator cuff that will leave him out of action for the entire 2024 Major League season.

This fact continues to affect Espino’s career in Major League Baseball (MLB) after being removed from the diamonds in May 2022 due to tendonitis in the knee and later his first shoulder discomfort.

The pitcher missed the entire 2023 season and hoped to show what he is made of in spring training in 2024, although he had to have surgery.

The 23-year-old pitcher had planned a great career in the Major Leagues. However, injuries have been responsible for preventing this process and constantly leaving him out of action.

“I am a believer in God, and I know there is something prepared for me. “He’s not going to make me face something I can’t handle,” he told MLB.com..
