The affair at the Formula 1 racing team Red Bull is entering the next round. After the company rejected an employee’s complaint about inappropriate behavior by team boss Christian Horner, the woman is now said to have contacted the world motorsport association.

In the Christian Horner case, the Red Bull employee in question allegedly filed a complaint with the world motorsport association FIA about its behavior. According to information from the BBC, the woman is said to have contacted the FIA’s ethics committee. According to the BBC, a Red Bull spokesman said he had no knowledge of the complaint and did not wish to comment further.

After the BBC report became known on Saturday, the world motorsport association announced that the FIA “receives and processes inquiries and complaints from the compliance officer and, if necessary, the ethics committee.”

“Both committees work autonomously and guarantee strict confidentiality throughout the entire process. As a result and in general, we cannot confirm receipt of any particular complaint,” it said. It is also “unlikely that we will be able to provide further comment on the complaints we receive from any parties.”

Horner hoped for closure

At the beginning of February it became known that the Red Bull company was investigating allegations against Red Bull team boss Horner (50) for allegedly inappropriate behavior. After an investigation by an attorney, the complaint was dismissed. “Red Bull is confident that the investigation was fair, thorough and unbiased,” it said at the time. Horner has always denied the allegations. However, according to the BBC, the employee allegedly wants to appeal the decision.
