Charlotte Hornets’ LaMelo Ball Out for the Season with Ankle Injury

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, Charlotte Hornets point guard LaMelo Ball’s season is over. The Hornets star has been sidelined since January 26 with an ankle injury.

Aged 22, Ball has played 22 games this season, averaging 23.9 points, 5.1 rebounds and 8 assists per game.

Selected fourth overall in the 2020 draft, Ball is in his fourth season in the NBA and was on pace to have his best scoring campaign.

Charlotte currently sits 13th in the Eastern Conference with a record of 11-36.
