This is how the draw works

Eight teams will be part of the draw, which will be completely open. There are no seedings or protection by country, as if it happens in previous rounds. This means that clubs can face rivals from the same national federation and teams they have played against in the group stage.

The procedure is the same as always: They place eight balls with the names of the quarterfinalists in a large central drum, where they are mixed. The first team drawn plays the first home game against the second team drawn. This procedure is repeated with the other balls in the pot to complete the quarterfinal pairings.

As has been customary for a few seasons, in this draw Future semi-final matches will also be determined.. For the semi-final draw, four balls with papers marked ‘Quarterfinal Winner 1’ to ‘Quarterfinal Winner 4’ will be placed in a large container and mixed. The first and second balls drawn determine the first semi-final pairing, and the first ball drawn represents the home team for the first leg. In this way and at the end of the draw, all the quarterfinal teams would also know their possible matchup in the quarterfinals.
