Celtics Look to Extend Win Streak as They Take on Warriors

Boston defeated the Dallas Mavericks 138-110 on Friday night to record the team’s 10th consecutive victory. Jayson Tatum scored a team-high 32 points in the win. It was the 22nd time Tatum scored at least 30 points in a game this season, but he also had plenty of help as six other Celtics players scored in double figures, including Jaylen Brown with 25 points and Kristaps Porzingis with 24.

Golden State comes into Sunday’s game off the back of Friday night’s 120-105 win over the host Toronto Raptors. Curry scored 25 points, Jonathan Kuminga, scoreless in the first quarter, finished with 24 points and Draymond Green grabbed 13 rebounds. The Warriors are on an eight-game winning streak on the road, and will face Boston, which has the NBA’s best home record at 28-3, at TD Garden at 9:30 pm EST on Sunday.

Obviously one of the two teams will see their streak come to an end. The season record between the two teams favors Golden State, which had a 132-126 victory in overtime when it faced Boston at home. There, Steph Curry scored 33 points in the win, including a 3-pointer with 11.5 seconds to play. The Warriors limited Tatum to just 15 points.
