Cardinal Richelieu’s Archers Host Successful French Para-Shooting Championships

The Archers of Cardinal Richelieu organized the French para-shooting championships at 18 m in the Michel-Jolit sports complex in L’Île-Bouchard, made available to them on the weekend of March 16 and 17, 2024, with various competitions which delighted the spectators present. This championship took place in the two shooting halls in the presence of a few elected officials and a delighted audience of the competitions.

This small club, which has 23 members but is very active, brought together around forty volunteers for this French para-shooting championship. It was a great opportunity to follow some archers from the Paralympic collective in preparation for the Paris Games. Guillaume Toucoullet from Compiegne, David Rogier from Brienon-sur-Armançon (Yonne), as well as Julie Rigault Chupin from Ruelle-sur-Touvre (Charente) and Géraldine Poulain from Brienon-sur-Armançon attracted the attention of spectators.

The Cardinal Archers club obtained the organization of this championship over three years, therefore the opportunity to meet again in 2025 and 2026, but this time in the new Richelieu community gymnasium.
