CASTELLAMONTE – The talented boys of the Canavese Baseball Academy win the Western League winter tournament. The competition is dedicated to boys and girls aged 8 to 12. On Sunday 17 March 2024 the event experienced its long-awaited final day on the «Provini» diamond in Novara.
The «Canavese B&S ASD» company participated in the tournament with two teams: a more experienced one, called Vipers, and one made up of rookies called Foxes. The Vipers Canavese Academy won their sixteenth trophy by beating the reigning champions of the Settimo 3 to 2. The Canavese athletes gave life to a spectacular match that enthralled the large audience present in the stands.
«A big thank you goes to the coaches who follow the Canavese boys in their sporting growth path – they explain from the association – Thanks to: Simone Pallaro, Silvia Biasio, Laura Rizzo, Vittorio Besso, Cristiano Giovando. A round of applause then goes to the parents and volunteers who believe in this society.” The under-12 youth championship will start on Saturday with the match in Castellamonte between the hosts and Settimo. On Sunday morning, March 24, one of the two under-15 baseball teams (Lynx) will take the field against Settimo, while the other under-15 (Rookies) will only start on April 7 against Athletics Novara.
