The association Stars, Palms and Gold Collars of Merit, of CONI and CIP, has awarded the Busen Club Marino of Somma Vesuviana with the Bronze Star for sporting merit.
The ceremony took place on Saturday 23 March.
“It is the realization of a dream” of Maestro Iovine Salvatore, who exactly 51 years ago, together with his wife Saveria, opened the first Judo gym in Somma Vesuviana, in the San Giovanni Bosco middle school.
The President of the provincial committee of the ANS delivered the very important recognition. Me. S of Naples, Liberato Russo, in the presence of the students of the various disciplines currently practiced at Busen, and their teachers.
During the ceremony, Maestro Iovine Salvatore was remembered, through the stories of one of his first athletes, Josi Auriemma and Professor Ciro Raia.
Saveria, together with her children, Christian and Dominique, multidisciplinary instructors in their sports center, say they are proud to continue the “Love for Sport” project that began half a century ago and which has already changed the lives of many young people in our area for the better .
