Last Saturday, March 16, judo from the entire province of Buenos Aires and other provinces, including the Uruguayan Judo Federation, met at the Club San Martin de 9 de Julio Sports Center, as a result of the Buenos Aires Apertura Championship, which in The local level was organized by the judo reference Sensei Santiago Falco and convened by the Buenos Aires Judo Federation (FBJ). With the relevant presence of the Municipal Mayor, Dr. María Jose Gentile, and part of her cabinet, teacher Laura Martinel (Paula Paretto’s coach), teacher Ariel Sganga, president of the FBJ and coach of the national team of Judo.
After experiencing a great day as we anticipated, from the Club San Martin Judo School, its teacher, Santiago Falcor announced the most relevant numbers of the tournament such as the participation of 312 competitors, 39 clubs, 4 hotels with their places occupied, 12 tents in the campsite organized for this purpose in the Club, two municipal buses for athletes who arrived from the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, judokas from 2 national teams from both Argentina and Uruguay, 6 different origins of judokas such as Buenos Aires , La Pampa, Córdoba, Neuquén, Uruguay and CABRA, and countless spectators.
