Brandon Ingram remained on the ground for a long time, writhing in pain after a bad support which resulted in a twisting of his left knee, in the third quarter of the Pelicans game lost in Orlando.
The player quickly held the inside of his knee and had to be escorted off the field. This does not bode well for New Orleans, which will now await the results of the exams with apprehension.
“It’s extremely hard to see him fall like this. Our prayers will be addressed to him this evening, hoping for good news”, was content to declare his coach Willie Greenwaiting to learn more.
Same thing for Trey Murphy III who could take over while Brandon Ingram recovers and who was not idle last night, compiling 21 points in 29 minutes.
” It hurts. We hope it won’t be anything serious. He has been a great help to me in my career and progression, the whole process of bringing me to maturity. To see him collapse like that, it hurts. We just pray for him.”
The Pelicans indeed have a lot to lose as the final sprint has only just begun and there are numerous contenders (Phoenix, Sacramento, etc.) to take them out of the Top 6 in the West.
