The 3rd edition of the Bords de Loire doubles badminton tournament which took place on March 16 and 17, 2024 in Cinq-Mars-la-Pile brought together no less than 210 badminton players.
Around thirty volunteers mobilized to manage and supervise the 140 matches of this tournament weekend which allows players to earn ranking points. New this year is the presence of a chiropractor to take care of the players who have come from throughout the Centre-Val de Loire region and neighboring regions.
Attendance doubled
At the origin of this project, there is the “mixed doubles” Vanessa and Alban at the helm of the organization since the beginning in 2022. Their goal is to stand out from other tournaments by favoring proximity through canvassing local businesses. only for sponsorship as well as prizes for the winners. “Every year we try to do a little more. In three years, the number of participants has almost doubled, to our greatest pride,” confides Vanessa.
