Valentin Bontus reached the medal series at the Neo-Olympic Formula Kite European Championships in front of Los Alcazares (Spain).
As fourth overall, the 23-year-old from Lower Austria is top seed in his semifinals on Sunday and has every chance of winning his first medal at a major event.
On Saturday, Bontus finished seventh, second and second before narrowly missing out on direct entry into the final with 13th place in the last race.
