A new promotional video for the anime adaptation of the manga written and illustrated by Kouji Miura, “Blue Box (Ao no Hako),” was released during the AnimeJapan 2024 event. The video confirms that the premiere is scheduled for the 2024 fall season (October-December) in Japan.
Other members of the voice cast were also revealed, including:

Kouji Miura began publishing the manga in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in April 2021. Kouji Miura is also the author of other manga such as “Sensei, Suki desu.” and “Aozora Rubber,” while “Ao no Hako” is based on a one-shot released in 2020.

The synopsis of Blue Box:
Taiki Inomata, an eighth-grade student, attends Eimei Academy, an integrated school with a major sports program. After joining the high school badminton team, Taiki tries to participate in training as soon as possible. But no matter how early he goes, he always comes second in the gym. The person one step ahead of him is Chinatsu Kano, a first-year student and Taiki’s lover. Chinatsu is the new star of the basketball team and the difference between her and Taiki couldn’t be bigger.
While Taiki is a good badminton player, his popularity doesn’t come close to Chinatsu’s, making it even less likely that his feelings will be reciprocated. However, in a strange stroke of luck, he ends up living in the same house as Taiki! Eager to become a worthy rival for Chinatsu, Taiki will pursue the same dream as his sweetheart: participating in the national championships. Taiki begins training harder than ever, all in order to establish a strong relationship with her new roommate.
