Veljko Birmančević could not have given his fans a better present on his 26th birthday. The Serbian winger is already a 100% Spartan, as the reigning league champion turned his loan from French Toulouse into a permanent transfer. According to the club’s website, the most productive player of the current FORTUNA:LIGA season signed a multi-year contract at Letná.
“The first six months were really great. I’m very happy that I can continue here and will continue to fight for Sparta. The decision was easy, I didn’t even think about any other options. Now I’m one hundred percent a Spartan,” said Birmančević after completing his transfer to Sparta for the club website.
The Serbian winger is currently the most productive player in the Czech competition, scoring seven goals and adding nine assists in 20 games. He is also doing well on the European stage, where he recorded a record of 4+1 in 11 matches and significantly contributed to Sparta’s successful campaign to the round of 16 of the Europa League.
