Best time for Rogentin in the first Saalbach training session

Stefan Rogentin set the fastest time in the first training session for the final World Cup downhill in Saalbach-Hinterglemm. The Swiss won on Wednesday 0.71 seconds ahead of Cyprien Sarrazin (FRA). The Italian Mattia Casse came third (+1.20). As the best Austrian, Otmar Striedinger finished fourth (1.35).

The Swiss Marco Odermatt (13th in training) and Sarrazin, who goes into the last race on Sunday (11.15 a.m., live on ORF1) 42 points behind Odermatt, are still fighting for the small crystal ball for victory in the Downhill World Cup.
