Traditionally after the German Championships, the International Thuringia Cup for women u18 and u21 took place last weekend in Bad Blankenburg. The Berlin women won two silver medals and one bronze medal.
A total of 422 starters came from 17 countries, including Japan.
In the women’s u18 category, Elina Prüsse (SC Lotos) fought her way into the +70 kg final. This was the new edition of the final of the German Championships between Elina and Sofia SHVYDKA from JC Wiesbaden. The Wiesbaden native also won in Bad Blankenburg and Elina won silver.
Tabea Nika Mecklenburg also won a silver medal in the women’s u21 to 52 kg event. She only lost to Moe Yokoji from Japan in the final.
Mia Marie Beermann from Police SV took third place up to 40 kg.
