The men’s I did not come far from victory in Soultz-les-Bains, the final score not reflecting the nature of the meeting.
At the break, the two teams are tied: 30-30. In the last quarter, Villé had a few points in advance after a volley of winning shots. But the last word went to the locals who took the lead again and won 70-59.
The women’s I hosted Rumersheim. The two teams gauge each other at the start of the match, then Villé will accelerate: 21-14 at the end of the first quarter (QT). The locals continue to win to lead 29-16 in the 15th minute.
Small relaxation and in three minutes, the visitors catch up with a 9-0 (29-25). After the break, the Villoises came back determined, dominating the 3rd QT 21-10. Rumersheim doesn’t give up, but the gap remains above 12 points. Final score: 67-54.
The men’s II won easily against Witternheim 81-56.
Epfig
The men’s I accumulated too many errors to win at Ohnheim II. They let the locals lead as they wished, apart from the start of the meeting where they were deceptive for a few minutes. Then, the lack of aggressiveness in attack and defense penalized them (27-19, 10th).
A small reaction allowed the Epfigeois to win the second act narrowly (17-19 and 44-38 at the break) but the passivity in the duels and the abundance of offensive rebounds left to the locals gave them too many second chances during the 3rd QT (25-19). The compact zone defense really bothered the Unitas players whose three-point skill was poor (4th QT: 18-23). Final score: 87-80.
The men’s II, with only six players, experienced a real nightmare at Erstein II who already led 57-14 at the break. The rest was of the same ilk and the final score needs no comment: 111-33!

Ohnenheim
The senior men I gave a hard time to the 2nd in the group, Rosheim. The 1st QT is balanced (11-14) then thanks to great collective actions, Ohnenheim is 10 points ahead (32-22). But the young, re-mobilized opposing team recovered with a score of 34-33 at the break. With confidence, Rosheim plays its game (46-55) at the end of the 3rd QT and the locals, back on track in the money-time (60-60), lose 66-69.
Contract fulfilled for the senior women I who won 53-34 against Rosheim. After a sluggish 1st QT (9-12) they found the fault in the opposing interior game and returned to the locker room with a six-point lead (27-23). The iron defense extinguishes the Rosheimoises in the second half and the SSC offers itself a great victory in front of its audience.
