Master coach Anton Gavel is leaving ratiopharm Ulm after this season and moving to Bamberg Baskets in the Basketball Bundesliga.
Master coach Anton Gavel is leaving ratiopharm Ulm after this season and moving to Bamberg Baskets in the Basketball Bundesliga.
In Ty Harrelson, the Ulm team also presented a successor to the 39-year-old Gavel. Harrelson is still under contract with Rasta Vechta until the end of the season.
“We were very surprised that Anton was leaving us,” said managing director Dr. Thomas Stoll in a statement. Gavel was already active as a player in Bamberg from 2009 to 2014. The 39-year-old signed a three-year contract in Bamberg until the 2026/27 season.
