“Barcelona” defeats “Napoli” and enters the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League

“Barcelona” beat “Napoli” at home with a score of 3:1 (2:1), winning 4:2 in the sum of two matches.

The Barcelona team attacked from the first minute and their efforts culminated in success in the 15th minute, when after Rafinha’s rebound, Fermin Lopez unhindered the ball from about 12 meters into the goal. Two minutes later, at the end of the counterattack, Rafinha grazed the goal post and hit João Cancela on the rebound – 2:0.

After half an hour of play, the Neapolitans got one goal back, playing to an accurate shot, just like in the first goal of “Barcelona”. Amir Rahmani scored for the visitors after Mateo Politano’s pass.

In the middle of the second half, after Rafinha’s free kick, Alex Merrett saved the Neapolitans from conceding a goal. After the following corner kick, Lamine Jamal put the ball into the goal, but the goal was disallowed due to the situation at the back.

Any doubts about reaching the quarter-finals were dispelled by “Barcelona” eight minutes before the end of regular time, when Sergi Roberto, after a successful play, redirected the ball to Robert Lewandowski, who executed an accurate shot from close range between the defenders of the opponents. Later, Matias Oliveira cleared the crossbar for “Barcelona”.

“Barcelona” head coach Xavi Hernandez immediately included two youngsters in the starting line-up – 16-year-old Jamal worked on the offensive side, and 17-year-old Po Kubarsi worked in the center of defense.
