Barça Moves Closer to Home Field Advantage in Euroleague Playoffs with Win Over Bayern Munich

Barça has taken an important step towards home field advantage in the Euroleague playoffs by winning this Thursday on Bayern Munich’s court by 79-87. The Blaugrana, who started the day in fourth position in the standings, have provisionally risen to third place, waiting for what Panathinaikos (who visits Virtus Bologna) does this Friday. In addition to Real Madrid (25-6), who no longer can be separated from the first final position, AS Monaco also remains ahead of the Blaugrana after having won with difficulty in their visit to ASVEL Villeurbanne by 77-87.

In any case, with two days left in the regular phase, the Blaugrana are much closer to the goal of finishing in one of the first four places, which give them home advantage in the crossroads. Possibly Roger Grimau’s team would need to win one of the two remaining games, next Thursday at the Palau against Maccabi Tel Aviv and on April 12 on the ASVEL Villeurbanne court.
