Baja California gears up for State Archery Championship and other sporting events

Mexicali, Baja California.- With the participation of 122 archers, Baja California will hold the State Archery Championship on the Ciudad Deportiva field, this Saturday starting at 07:30 hours.

En route to the Conade 2024 Nationals, based in Jalisco, the INDE of Baja California, in coordination with the Archers Association, will carry out the state eliminatory in the different categories and branch, in recurve bow and compound bow.

According to the program, Ensenada will arrive at the state competition with ten archers, Tijuana with 58 and the host Mexicali with 52, who will be supported by 19 coaches.

César Araujo, Olympic judge from Baja California, will control the competition, with a day that will begin with official practice in the Sub 18, Sub 21 and Sub 24 categories, in recurve bow, from 07:30 hours, 30 minutes Then the eliminatory will begin.

During the marathon day at the archery range, the second group of archers will begin shooting at 10:30 a.m. and the third group at 2:15 p.m.

Along with the State Archery, the Sports City will also open its doors for the state fencing eliminatory, in the foil weapon in the Fencing Room, from 09:00 hours.

On the softball fields, the Sports City will host the concentration of the four softball teams from Baja California, who are getting ready for the Macro Regional in Tijuana, in the Juvenil Menor and Juvenil Mayor, in both branches.

The Baja California Pre Junior baseball team will be in the capital starting at 10:00 a.m., at the Guajardo field, under the direction of manager Francisco “Chito” Chávez; The men’s basketball teams will also gather in this city, starting at 10:00 a.m.
