[뉴스파고=한광수 기자] Baekseok University (President Jang Jong-hyeon)’s badminton team from the Department of Sports Science won 1 gold medal, 1 silver medal, and 1 bronze medal at the ‘2024 Korea Badminton Association Long-term National Badminton Competition’ held at the Gangjin Indoor Gymnasium in Jeollanam-do from Wednesday the 20th to Wednesday the 27th. I won one.
In this tournament, hosted by the Korea Badminton Association and attended by 74 teams and 500 people across the country, Choi Ye-bok (21, male) won a gold medal by participating as a mixed doubles team with Incheon National University player Oh Yeon-ju.
In the men’s doubles division, Myung Seung-hyun (21, male) and Kang Geon-hee (19, male) won silver medals, and Choi Ye-bok (21, male) and Kim Dong-hae (21, male) won bronze medals, respectively.
Dean Jae-deok Han of the Department of Sports Science said, “I am happy that the students achieved good results in the first and largest competition after completing winter training.” He added, “I look forward to further training and good results in the future.”
Meanwhile, this competition is the largest of the competitions hosted by the Korea Badminton Association as it is a competition in which the highest participation points are awarded for national team selection.
