After Dominik Koepfer, Alexander Zverev also reached the round of 16 at the ATP Masters in Miami. However, Zverev had some trouble in the end.

In the 7:6 (7:4), 6:3 on Monday (March 25, 2024) against the American Chris Eubanks, Zverev was ahead with a break early in the second after a concentrated first set despite the onset of rain. But towards the end of the set, Eubanks played with more risk and got three break points.

Zverev had a hard time, but fended off the break points and converted his first match point to victory with a volley at the net after 1:44 hours. In the next round in Miami, where Zverev was in the final once in 2018, he will face the Russian Karen Chachanow, who defeated Francisco Cerundolo (Argentina) 6:1, 5:7 and 7:6 (7:5).
