ASSE Player’s Injury Woes: A Return to the Squad to Counterbalance Setbacks

The international break never enchants the supporters, deprived as they are of any competition and in particular of their team’s matches. On the staff side, on the other hand, it is always well received to be able to count on a window allowing players to recharge the batteries or return from injury… This is the case for an ASSE player…

The Stéphanois have had a string of good performances for several weeks. All the lights are green, yet the slightest grain of sand could stop the beautiful mechanism. Injuries are one of those little things that can quickly cause the machine to malfunction.

While Stéphane Diarra and Cheikh Fall are out until the end of the season, other players are also in the ASSE infirmary.

Mathieu Cafaro is one of them after his premature exit from Bastia. Thomas Monconduit felt discomfort during training and is one of the players that the staff must take care of. These are two ASSE executives that Olivier Dall’Oglio regularly included in his starting eleven.

A return to the ASSE squad to counterbalance the injuries!

To counterbalance this bad news, other players seem to be on their way back. First of all, it concerns Ibrahima Wadji who is in the rehabilitation phase. Collective training should quickly be authorized for him and his presence hoped for, if not against Valenciennes, perhaps against Concarneau on April 6.

Another player absent for three weeks, Lamine Fomba. The defensive midfielder suffered a sprained ankle at the time. A few anti-inflammatories and physiotherapy sessions later, here is Fomba back. He himself posted a photo on his Instagram page in which we see him jogging alongside Ibrahima Wadji. A resumption of the race which could give him hope of a return to the group in Valenciennes, especially if Thomas Monconduit were to be absent.
