A busy start to the year for AS Monts judo: first of all, in mid-January, as part of the national Olympic flag tour, the youngest proudly welcomed the Terre de Jeux 2024 delegation, during training at the Hautes-Varennes dojo.
In another register, the youngest members of the club won, for the second year in a row, the departmental club cup, and also won four individual podiums. “The cadets are not left out with a clear evolution in obtaining their black belt, by validating or progressing in the different compulsory units of value, comments Loïc Dacher, club coach. Also, some juniors and cadets had the chance to participate in technical training led by the coach of the French women’s team Christophe Massina.
Furthermore, the Mons judokas remained very active during the winter school holidays, with courses bringing together around 20 children at each session; technical and competition preparatory courses were successfully organized for adolescents and adults. Finally, as part of the “Monts Terre de Jeux 2024” event, the club introduced its sport during an introductory session to children from the Joseph-Daumain nursery school.
