Anderlecht Dominates Club YLA in Title Play-offs Opener: Ready for Seventh Title in a Row

Anderlecht has a strong message for the competition
started the title play-offs. They were lord and master at home against Club YLA and scored 5 goals – driven by stars Deloose and Matavkova. This way they jump over Standard and OHL to the lead, who will still play tonight. “This should give a boost,” says RSCA coach Dave Mattheus.

Anderlecht is going for a seventh title in a row. It started the title play-offs third, but immediately became the leader with a win. The difference with Standard and OHL was only 1 point.

The home team had done everything they could to make this first home match in the final round a party, including a fanfare. She thus succeeded in her goal of improving the spectator record: with 2,613 m/f/x, the record set in 2017 in February in Ghent-Genk was broken.

The large audience got value for their money (although the tickets were available for free).

From the RSCA Women anyway. They were in charge from the first minute, Club YLA was powerless and had to go backwards.

The visitors initially defended well, goalkeeper Covent intervened several times appropriately against the rolling waves of attacks.

Just before the half hour, woman of the match Deloose broke the spell: she beautifully turned a free kick from just outside the box past the wall. Suddenly things happened quickly: Deloose reached the back line and served Vatafu: 2-0.

And before half time it was 3-0: Matavkova kept a defender and the goalkeeper talking and found the completely detached Wijnants.

Club, fourth in the standings, could not find solutions and barely escaped the pressure from Anderlecht. Although Boutiebi came face to face with goalkeeper Majasaari just before half time. She rounded the Finnish, but De Neve cleared the line.

A few substitutions at halftime did not improve the visitors, who were unable to make a fist in the second half.

Anderlecht easily maintained control and increased the score even further through Wijnants, who was given too much space on a cross from Matavkova, and substitute Ouzraoui.

The message was clear: this Anderlecht is ready for the title defense. Standard and OHL have been warned.
