Alphonso Davies: Will he stay at Bayern Munich or head to Real Madrid?

The rumors about a possible departure of Alphonso Davies (23) to Real Madrid have been keeping Bayern fans on tenterhooks for months – especially after reports recently emerged in Spain that the defensive star had already agreed on possible contract terms with the Royals should.

Is he really doing that with Bayern? “That wouldn’t be okay for Kimmich”

BILD had already reported that although Bayern are not prepared to pay the annual salary of 20 million euros demanded by Davies in order to extend his contract, which expires in 2025, the player has not yet made a decision about the future.

The fact is: Bayern are offering the left-back around 13 to 14 million euros gross if he extends his contract until 2029. Quite a big difference to the salary demanded by Davies!

Sports director Christoph Freund (46) still believes in Davies’ future at Bayern. According to BILD information, a secret meeting took place on Tuesday between Bayern (Max Eberl and Christoph Freund) and Alphonso Davies advisor Nick Huoseh in Munich.

Both parties are still in discussions and a decision remains open. It is still possible for Davies to stay – if an agreement is reached on the salary.

Surprising turnaround for Davies?

On the sidelines of the Bayern U19 Youth League quarter-final against Olympiakos Piraeus (1:3), Freund said: “It’s not at all unlikely. There are conversations and the conversations are good and open. And then we’ll see how it turns out in the next few weeks. Phonzy feels very comfortable in Munich. He likes playing for FC Bayern.”

The Canadian’s advisor, Nedal Huoseh, also recently made it clear to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano (31) that nothing has been decided yet: “Nothing has been agreed or concrete with any club. Alphonso’s focus is currently on FC Bayern.”

Advisor Nedal Huoseh left it open as to what will happen to Davies at the end of the season: “We will examine all of our options for the future in the next few months.”

The fact is: If Bayern and Davies cannot come to an agreement, the bosses would be willing to let their number 19 go this summer for a fee of around 70 million euros, otherwise there would be a risk of a free transfer in 2025…
