Sports director Christoph Freund confirms: “He got something on his face, his teeth. He couldn’t continue playing and went to the dentist. We hope it’s not too bad and he can show his big smile again soon.”
Coach Thomas Tuchel explained: “Things aren’t looking so good for Phonzie. A few of his teeth were crooked. That’s why he’s at the dentist. We hope it’s not that bad.”
Davies then posted a photo on Instagram showing his damaged teeth.
