Alicante Intercity to face Badminton Oviedo in decisive match for Spanish badminton permanence

Alicante Intercity will be the rival of Badminton Oviedo (CBO) in the decisive tie for permanence in the highest category of Spanish badminton, in a clash that will be held on March 23 at the Corredoria Arena in Oviedo. Oviedo’s 4-3 victory against Ravachol on Saturday afternoon has been decisive for the Asturian team to fight for salvation on its own court, although the CBO had to wait until yesterday to know the name of its opponent, which depended of the results of the other group.

For Fran Dacal, coach of Oviedo’s first team, the club is facing a great challenge. “The Alicante club has had a presence in the Honor Division, it is a historic club in Spain, one of the oldest, and deserves great respect, it will be a very complicated match,” underlines the coach, who elaborates that the rival “has foreign reinforcements and players of the stature of Nikol Carulla.”

The recipe, for Fran Dacal, is “to be focused on making our best preparation to face the challenge at home. After achieving the victory against Ravachol, we maintain good vibes and will strive to demonstrate our performance from the best days.”
