The participation of athletes from the Alhama Judo Club in the Spanish Sambo Championship has resulted in a silver and a bronze. The first medal went to Caroline Houdusse, who competed in the female school category (-51k). And Belén Ortiz, who has competed in the female youth category (-69k) has won the bronze medal.
Javier García from Alhama has also competed in the male youth category (-58k).
The Spanish Under-20 Wrestling Championship, Sports Sambo and Combat Sambo was held this weekend. This competition will allow the 112 athletes to be selected who will represent Spain in national and international competitions. More than half a thousand athletes have gathered at this sporting event organized by the Spanish Federation and the Madrid Wrestling Federation, in collaboration with the Sports Department of the City Council of the Madrid municipality of Tres Cantos.
