Alexander Zverev Cruises Through Opening Round at ATP Masters in Miami

Olympic tennis champion Alexander Zverev confidently cleared his opening hurdle at the ATP Masters in Miami.

The fourth-seeded Hamburger, who only had to enter the second round thanks to a bye, defeated the world number 36. Felix Auger-Aliassime (Canada) 6:2, 6:4.

Zverev’s opponent in the third round is the American Christopher Eubanks.

Previously, Dominik Koepfer (Furtwangen) was against the Argentinian world number 19. Sebastian Baez moved into the round of the best 32 with a 6:3, 6:2.

Koepfer, number 50 in the ATP world rankings, will now face Frenchman Ugo Humbert, number 14, in the fight for a place in the round of 16.
