The Adidas CEO remains a Germany fan!
After the supplier earthquake and shortly before the international soccer match between France and Germany in Lyon (9 p.m./ZDF and here in the live ticker), Adidas boss Bjørn Gulden (58) reported on Instagram and addressed the national team.
Gulden in his contribution: “Good luck today Germany! No matter what happens in 2027… we are 100 percent behind the team! We are fans and you are family!”

Gulden continued: “You will have a fantastic time at Homeground during the Euros and we will be a fantastic host for you! Have fun in Lyon this evening… See you on Tuesday in Frankfurt (national team’s home game against Holland/8.45 p.m.; editor’s note).”
During the European Championships, the national team will be based at the home ground mentioned by Gulden, which is on the Adidas site in Herzogenaurach (near Nuremberg).
The supplier quake
On Thursday it was announced that the DFB and Adidas will end their partnership, which has existed for over 70 years, at the end of 2026. From now on, Nike will be the new supplier for the national teams. The Americans have negotiated a contract until 2034 and will pay 100 million euros per year. Adidas offered just half that price.
