Additional grandstand seats at the 2024 French Motorcycle Grand Prix

After the 278,805 spectators recorded over the three days of racing last year (including 116,692 on Sunday alone), will the 2024 French Grand Prix beat its attendance record, which is also that of all GPs? speed of history? It will be necessary to measure it from May 10 to 12, during the next edition which will be held, as since 1999, on the Bugatti circuit in Le Mans.

The organizers will in any case be able to accommodate a few more people in the stands. This is one of the new features announced this Tuesday during a press conference at the headquarters of Canal+, broadcaster of the MotoGP season: 3,800 seats have been added, bringing the capacity in the stands to 23,000 people. . For those interested, one thing to know: all the stands are already full, but it is still possible to acquire seats for the general enclosure.

Fireworks and mechanical show

From Moto3 to MotoGP, via MotoE, the races will form the heart of the show, but Claude Michy, the promoter of the Grand Prix, has confirmed some additional attractions scheduled over the course of the weekend: a fireworks display, a show mechanics (stunt, freestyle blackliner…), concerts, as well as “a surprise that comes from the sky”.

Johann Zarco (LCR Honda) and Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha) will naturally be the two MotoGP riders engaged to try to bring France a first victory at Le Mans. The task promises to be more than difficult, as both riders are riding a bike under development this season. But there will definitely be fun. “As there is almost a little less pressure this year, this can allow us to enjoy the public even more, to see the world on site,” Zarco testified during the press conference.
