It all started with an incident that happened a few days ago in a podcast moderated by YouTuber Aleš Bejr, who goes by the nickname Psychopath Bejr. He recently became known to the wider public through a boxing match with the owner of Barrandov TV, Jaromír Soukup.
One of the guests, Václav Kršek, poked Bejra in the shoulder during the podcast. The moderator slapped him for it. However, this angered other people from the so-called “secular” community, to which Kršek is supposed to belong.
On Monday in the early evening, about a hundred people drove cars from central Bohemia to Pardubice, specifically to Dřenice in the Chrudim region. There she wanted to talk about the incident with him.
The police intervened in the situation, and based on the knowledge they had, called a large number of police patrols and sent a helicopter to the scene even before the event began.
“We received information about a possible fight involving several people. We have taken the necessary measures to prevent this. We are monitoring the situation on site. So far there has been no violation of public order,” police spokeswoman Dita Holečková told Novinka.
