The Carabinieri of the Operational and Mobile Radio Unit of the Company Anzio they arrested a 25-year-old Ivorian man, seriously suspected of the crime of attempted robbery and bodily harm.
An army patrol was in fact sent to the reception center for immigrants in Anzio in via Portofino following a call made to 112.
At the scene they found a Pakistani citizen injured in the hand who said that shortly before the 25-year-old had tried to rob him of his cell phone and some cash. In particular, he threw him to the ground and, after blocking him, held a knife to his neck and, given the Pakistani’s refusal to hand over his money and phone, stabbed him in the hand.
Consequently, the Carabinieri, having tracked down the person responsible, accompanied him to the barracks to carry out the necessary investigations. Arrested, he was then taken to the Velletri prison and following validation of the arrest, precautionary custody in prison was ordered.
