Three matches in the Challenger Pro League were played on Friday evening. It remains very exciting in the second division.
In the first half of the top match between Zulte Waregem and Beerschot, the spectators got their money’s worth. Essevee created many chances, but could not score. Beerschot took over the offensive role from the home team, but the visitors were also unable to score.
The two teams hit the target wood, but they were unable to shake the net before the break. That worked very quickly in the second half. Wright-Phillips scored the 0-1 after a clever pass from Nzita (see video). Zulte Waregem continued to mess up the chances it got. Beerschot controlled the situation and took a deserved victory that keeps them at the top of the Challenger Pro League.

Club NXT took on Seraing in Roeselare. The home team took the lead after fifteen minutes through Amine Et Taïbi (1-0 at half time). In a disappointing second half, hardly anything happened, until the end. Less than ten minutes from the end, Droehnlé received a red card, Lepoint scored the equalizer in minute 88.
Patro Eisden then visited SK Beveren again. The visitors took the lead before half an hour via a penalty from Kevin Kis (see video below) (0-1 at half time). The most striking phase came at the absolute end. Stijn Stijnen received a second yellow card and hit one of his own staff members as he left the field. Nothing changed in the 0-1 scoreline.
