Eko Purjiantoassistant coach Indonesian U-20 National Team admitted that he was satisfied with the draw against Suwon FC, Wednesday (7/2).

The match at Field A Senayan ended with a score of 0-0. This is the first draw after previously losing 1-2 to Thailand and 2-3 to Uzbekistan.

“The results of yesterday’s trial were 0-0. Thank God, the game results were very satisfying,” said Eko to CNNIndonesia.com via short message on Thursday (8/2) afternoon.

This trial match was not attended directly by head coach Indra Sjafri. Currently Indra is following a trainer representing PSSI in Japan.

This trial is a series of preparations for Indonesia U-20 which will appear in the AFF U-19 Cup in June. Currently Indra and the coaching team are selecting players.

The main target for this team is to qualify for the 2025 U-20 World Cup. In order for this target to be achieved, PSSI made early preparations by appointing Indra as coach.

Before that, Indonesia will appear first in the 2025 U-20 Asian Cup Qualification at the end of 2024. This event will determine the fate of going to the World Cup.

If they can reach the semifinals, Indonesia will get a ticket to the 2025 U-20 World Cup. Therefore, Indra has prepared a long-term, measurable program.
