Whiplashes and wounds that are covered with shoe polish: Questionable methods are said to have been used at the dressage rider Andreas Helgstrand’s stable. Is this ruining his business?
A rider swings out with both legs, pushes his spurs into the horse’s stomach with full force and pulls on the reins. The horse jumps forward, apparently trying to escape the situation. There is no way out.
The situation is just a fraction of the video footage recorded that caused a stir in Denmark at the end of November. The focus is on the horse training center of Andreas Helgstrand, internationally successful dressage rider, an even more successful horse wholesaler – and the business partner of the former show jumper Ludger Beerbaum.
