By 2050, the industrial and transportation sectors are expected to account for 42% and 36% of global clean hydrogen consumption, respectively. In response to this trend, the first edition of the ‘H2 – Hydrogen World Congress’ will be held in Valencia on February 14 and 15, as part of the eMobility Expo World Congress 2024.
The congress, considered the largest on green hydrogen in Europe, will bring together more than 180 experts from around the world to discuss the role of hydrogen as an alternative energy source and will offer a comprehensive overview of the hydrogen industry and its benefits in the sector. of mobility. Among the topics to be addressed are the activities of different countries that lead green hydrogen projects linked to the mobility of the future, the current state and potential for future development of hydrogen technology, as well as the classification of the different colors of hydrogen and their production methods.
It is worth mentioning that the Energy & Batteries Forum at the eMobility Expo World Congress will also explore strategies to reduce dependence on fossil fuels, highlighting the importance of batteries and advanced storage systems in the transition towards more efficient and sustainable energy sources.
Within the framework of the current mobility paradigm, strategies will also be analyzed to guarantee sustainability in battery production, the implementation of efficient and safe charging systems, as well as second life proposals and recycling plans. Recycling and reuse of battery materials will be discussed, and incentives for the adoption of electric vehicles will be promoted.
Another recent advance related to the Port of Valencia is the new collaborations with Morocco to promote the strategy of the Valencian enclave as a bridge between Africa and Europe.
