Ultrarunner Bonne Aims to Break World Record in 6-Day Race

Cycling and swimming are already behind her, so Bonne is now focusing on running. He wants to walk 1,038 kilometers in 6 days. On November 26, 2005, Greek ultrarunner Yiannis Kouros covered 1,036.8 kilometers. He set his world record in Australia. Since then, no one has managed to break the record.

Bonne opts for a less exotic destination, he chooses Merelbeke. “On March 24, 2024, I will take up the challenge to surpass this distance during the exclusive 6Days Race Belgium on the 400m track of Molenkouter in Merelbeke,” Bonne writes on his Facebook page. It is the first time that the race is organized in Belgium.
