During the night from Saturday to Sunday, the two victims, who were traveling in a van after spending the evening together, were intercepted by a BMW driven by one of the two suspects.

This 50-year-old man, without profession, admitted to having taken his car after hearing around 11:45 p.m. “’Horning several times’, as has often been the case for years”detailed Rennes public prosecutor Philippe Astruc.

The man, convicted of traffic offenses in 2012 and 2016, then “hit the two occupants with fists and baseball bats” of the van.

The surviving victim, a 38-year-old man, explained that his friend “had a first altercation with the accused, about a fortnight earlier, who reproached him for having parked in a car park not far from their home and that since then ‘he was a little after them'”according to the same source.

On the evening of the incident, the surviving victim admitted that his friend had honked his horn near their home, even though he had dissuaded him from doing so, before continuing on his way and suffering the fatal attack.

A criminal judicial investigation was opened under the qualifications of murder and violence with ITT for more than eight days with a weapon and in a meeting, punishable by a sentence of thirty years of criminal imprisonment.

The prosecution requested the indictment of the two brothers and their placement in detention.
