In an interview given to the daily AS, Toni Nadal gives an overall update on his nephew but also on Spanish tennis which is going through a difficult period. Regarding Rafa’s possible performance at Roland Garros, Toni wants to be positive.
« I prefer to say that he will win. We will see. I know it’s difficult, but I always try to be positive and hope my nephew does a good job at the Games and at Roland Garros. His recovery is going well. He was affected by the setback in Australia, but Rafa also knows that you have to accept things as they come. Now he has to be competitive. He does not have a choice. It’s been too long since he did it. And of course, if you don’t compete, you can’t prepare.”
